It was a decent price, but is now sold by another vendor for $49.95 on Amazon! This replacement motor is listed as a Whirlpool FSP part, but it differs significantly from the one replaced. It draws 6.2 amps not 5.7, is made in China, and has much thinner copper windings. Partshouse shipped 279827 motor as a replacement for original 3395654 motor. The shafts were much too long to work so I contacted Partshouse. A Partshouse employee indicated that this was the correct motor and that if I ordered another replacement I would receive the exact same motor. I was told that I could "shorten" the shafts and make it work. Shortning the shafts would mean cutting both shafts off with a hacksaw which would remove the threads on both ends ruining the motor. I finally received a reply from another Partshouse employee, perhaps the owner, who told me I was shipped the wrong motor and that 279787 motor number was the correct one.
