Popcorn pops up just right with minimal "un-popped" kernels. I ordered the 2.5 oz combo oil/popcorn. It measures out a little more than the measuring cup and spoon that comes with the popper, but I used it all anyway and it pops just fine. I then purchased at Kroger's Orville Redenbacher's original 30.oz popcorn and followed the directions as given in the instruction booklet. Added a little more salt then was called for and then made the popcorn and for final touches a little butter.Since i ordered the popcorn boxes also sold by Amazon i ended up with a box and a half of popcorn. The taste was quite similar to movie theatre popcorn and this sure beats microwave popcorn. There were some unpopped kernels but this is to be expected and the amount of unpopped kernels in the westbend was minimal as compared to microwave popcorn. I also ordered the 2.5oz kettle packs of (popcorn+oil) and used this in the Westbend Stircrazy popper. It ssemed to me that i got at least 2 and a half boxes of popcorn as compared to what i mentioned above. Again the taste was very similar to movie theatre popcorn...
